“Is Goat Milk Dairy OK?”

NO!

As much as I am a 100% Paleo devotee, I, too was new to Paleo at one point, roughly five years ago.

Over the last couple of years, I've received several questions from readers who have seen some old posts, when I was still eating the odd bit of non-Paleo foods.   Then, I would have goat milk yogurt sometimes, as well as soy lecithin and a 'green powder' vitamin that contained some grain based products.

I've learned over the years, through trial and error, and studying and re-reading both The Paleo Diet and The Paleo Diet for Athletes, where to look for hidden (like in your vitamins!), and not so hidden (i.e. goat milk!) sources of non Paleo foods.

I'm aware that many people consider themselves 'mostly' Paleo, and may still have foods in their diets that they feel sit well with them, despite not being completely in keeping with paleolithic eating.

Not here to argue or judge- just to keep stating my 'best case scenario' to readers, that which I follow myself, of being as Paleo as you can be, in order to be as healthy as you can be!

Hope that clarifies things up a bit… and that it may encourage even more of you to try it at a 100% commitment level!
