An Old Favorite- with a twist

I've published my smoothie recipes before, but here's another way to keep them interesting- try coconut oil in lieu of almond butter!  Coconut oil is the only source of medium-chain triglycerides and is also very indicated for promoting intestinal health. Plus- it tastes great!

8oz brewed, chilled, UNSWEETENED green tea (or other favorite herbal tea)

1 T Organic Coconut Oil

6 oz frozen berries *you can vary the fruit with the season

1 T Flax Seed *grind immediately  before using

1 Scoop of egg white protein poweder *use a brand that is JUST egg white- no additive or odd colors, flavors or dyes

Whiz in the blender & add a dash of cinnamon, or nutmeg, or a splash of vanilla extract- whatever you like!

Enjoy for breakfast, or post workout, or any time of day!
