Raisins and spinach are two of the most alkaline-enhancing foods you can eat! Post workout, after you’ve hydrated, a small box of raisins provide a great source of carbohydrate as part of your recovery process. Later, when you’re ready to move back to lower glycemic foods that you’d choose for all other times of the day (when you’re NOT working out), a bed of spinach with some healthy protein & fat (salmon & avocado, anyone?), makes a great lunch.
