Grass Fed Paleo Burgers

Grinding your own meat allows you to know exactly what goes into your burgers. Topped off with avo, onion and leafy greens, there's no need for that starchy non Paleo filler...the bun!
Ingredients
  • 1 pound grass fed short ribs
  • 1 pound grass fed chuck
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups mache lettuce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
  1. Using a meat grinder, grind the meat from the short ribs (save the bones for stock) and the chuck.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic powder and shape into patties
  3. Cook on outdoor barbeque or in oven set to broil
  4. Place cooked patties on top of lettuce, topped with avocado and onion
  5. Save the rest for lunch the next day
