An Apple A Day…
Could there possibly be an easier, more portable snack item that one can easily take with them as they roll out the door after a quick wash under the tap?
How about slicing it and tossing with lemon, then dusting with cinnamon and serving with some grapes and raw walnuts as a passed hors d'oeuvres?
Diced thinly and sprinkled atop your favorite organic, green salad?
Grated and tossed with some freshly grilled chicken breast meat, chopped celery, red onion, flax oil and some pepper, then wrapped in Bibb Lettuce?
Sauteed in olive oil & rosemary, then layered on top of yam puree and topped with roasted pecans? (For those of you who are regular readers, you'll remember this from my Thanksgiving and Christmas menus; in lieu of that horrible yam or sweet potato marshmallow dish!)
Cored, then baked with a cinnamon stick & raisins stuck in the middle, then sprinkled with nutmeg and chopped Macadamias?
Just the tip of the iceberg of ideas of some of the many ways you can incorporate apples into your daily diet.
Take the lead with this fruit and use your imagination with all of your fruits, veggies, lean meats and healthy fat sources!
