SNEAK PEEK # 1 from The Paleo Diet Cookbook… Everyone Loves Dessert!


Here it is- the first preview of a virtual 'taste' of how very delicious The Paleo Diet can be!

Since everyone likes dessert, I chose one of the recipes from this section as the first of six little teaser recipes to share!


Brandied Fruit Compote

We can’t resist the bold flavor of this sweet dessert.  Top off your meal with this flavorful infusion of fruits, spices, and nuts and enjoy the abundance of nutritional benefits to keep you healthy.


2 large pears, peeled and sliced

2 small plums, halved

 2 tablespoons brandy

½ teaspoon allspice

¼ teaspoon clove powder

4 tablespoons walnuts, chopped


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine pears and plums in medium bowl. Mix together brandy, allspice and clove .  Pour over fruit and gently toss.  Divide into four ramekins.  Cover and bake twenty minutes.  Change oven setting to broil.  Scatter walnuts over fruit and brown three minutes.  Serves four.
