Today’s Healthy Holiday Tip…

Here is a great alternative for one of the season's favorite sweets- apple pie!

Skip the floury dough and go right to the good stuff- the apples! 

Peel and core golden delicious apples (figure half per person).  Place in a glass baking dish with an inch of water. Sprinkle with raisins (or use dried, unsweetened cranberries) and a cinnamon stick, some whole cloves and ground nutmeg.  Bake at 400 until soft.  Let rest 10 minutes before serving… delish!  

Just a touch of sweetness without the fat & extra calories from the crust!
