Mix Up Your Fruit & Veg
When you're planning your meals for the week, don't be scared to combine non-traditional food items. Add strawberries to your steamed broccoli with grilled chicken breast or orange segments to your kale & sashimi lunch.
Combining foods often serves not only to taste great, but it often allows the body to absorb more nutrients. In the examples above, for instance, eating sources of vitamin C with iron sources lets you quadruple how much you absorb!
On the flip side, be careful of your caffeine consumption with regard to taking your multivitamin as well as when you eat your fruit & veg, as it can block the absorption of many vitamins and minerals.
